Yesterday, my nephew caught this small Bluegill after trying for hours to get something. Turns out our hooks were too large for these fish and so we were getting nibbles but no fish. Luckily for him, a fellow angler lent him a smaller hook (number 8 size) and he immediately landed this little guy. Small, but better than nothing. Minutes later he got an even smaller one, but let that one go. Next time, we'll try number 8 hooks if we go to the same fishing spot.
